Abstract

Three patients with cyst-like calcification in hypernephromas are presented including one in a 9½ year old boy. This radiological finding can be simulated by benign renal, adrenal and para-renal cysts as well as by malignant adrenal tumours and by aneurysmal calcification. Awareness that such cystlike calcifications are not necessarily benign, should enable earlier diagnosis and treatment to be effected. Increase in diameter of the cyst-like calcification may indicate malignancy.
