Abstract

Endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) is a standard modality in characterization of pancreatic lesions, especially in those patients who may undergo surgical resection. With increased detection of incidental pancreatic cystic lesions on routine cross sectional imaging, EUS is utilized more frequently in the work up of such patients. Furthermore there is an increasing need for reliable indicators to improve EUS accuracy in accurately identifying such lesions. Aims: To evaluate the impact of pre-operative EUS in patients who underwent surgical resection of pancreatic cystic lesions.
