Abstract

Gastric adenomatous polyps are true neoplasm with cancerous transformation potential. Endoscopic forceps biopsy (EFB) sampling may provide inadequate specimens for a correct diagnosis and lead an inappropriate follow-up strategy for an adenoma or missed foci of carcinoma. The aim of this prospective study was to know the diagnostic concordance between an EFB and resected tissues of gastric adenomatous polyps by endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) technique and to know the efficacy of ESD for the treatment of gastric adenomatous polyp.
