Abstract

Patients with locally advanced esophageal cancer who require neoadjuvant therapy have significant dysphagia. In this retrospective analysis, we reported using fully covered self expanding metal stents (FCSEMS) in patients undergoing neoadjuvant therapy. The primary aim was to evaluate the effectiveness of these FCSEMS in this specific setting in regard to relief of malignant dysphagia and maintenance of nutritional support during neoadjuvant therapy. Our secondary aims were to report on the safety of FCSEMS and the long-term clinical outcomes in these patients.
