Abstract

Esophageal stents are often used for palliation of dysphagia associated with unresectable esophageal adenocarcinoma (EAC), however 50% of patients require reintervention for recurrent dysphagia or complications associated with the stent. Endoscopic spray cryoablation is a safe, effective and well-tolerated treatment modality that has been primarily used in the treatment of early EAC. Experience in the use of cryoblation for palliation of unresectable EAC is limited.
