Abstract

Barrett's esophagus (BE) is the pre-cursor to eosophageal adenocarcinoma (EAC). BE is more prevalent in males. Combined endoscopic mucosal resection (EMR) for visible lesions followed by Radiofrequency ablation (RFA) have become first line treatments for patients with BE related neoplasia. Recurrence after successful treatment can occur in up to 25% of cases.
