Abstract

Single balloon enteroscopy (SBE) is a widely used method of examining the portion of small bowel where conventional upper endoscopy and colonoscopy fail to reach. There are 2 major approaches of single balloon enteroscopy- through mouth or ante-grade approach (AG) or through anus or retrograde (RG)approach. Aim of this study was to assess the differences in performance and complications of both these approaches.
