Abstract
Abstract We have investigated the time–temperature-transformation ( TTT ) diagram of a magnetic shape memory alloy Ni 45 Co 5 Mn 36.5 In 13.5 under magnetic field. We found that the TTT diagram under 2 T magnetic field shows a clear C -curve with its nose located approximately at 150 K. The incubation time increases with increasing magnetic field. Such a magnetic field dependence of the TTT diagram can be interpreted by considering magnetic field dependence of potential barrier for the martensitic transformation.
