When it comes to keeping your board's meetings on schedule and productive, the agenda plays a critical part. Experts often stress that keeping to the agenda items—and not getting distracted by extraneous things that come up during or immediately before the meeting—is key to ensuring that critical, time‐sensitive issues are dealt with while also avoiding over‐long meetings that cause board members to zone out.
