Abstract

This book considers the legal issues surrounding the fictionalization of real events and people. It discusses The Perfect Storm - which spawned lawsuits from the families of the people depicted - as well as 13 courtroom dramas that can be compared to the real trials in the historical record. Also covered are actors so identified with a character that they sought legal acknowledgment of exclusive rights to that fictional persona.
