Abstract

Open source software, open data sets, open system interfaces like open technical standards allow considering major or up to all elements of a software-based systems. Various methods can be used to assess the quality of the related technical specifications and of the software itself. However, are these already enough elements to build trustworthy systems? The panel will critically discuss where we stand and what is yet to be done towards trustworthy systems in a heterogeneous environment of closed and open artefacts of software-based systems.
