Abstract

Cloud is designed to provide scalable IT resources remotely and requires less infrastructure management. The services of untrustworthy provider may cause the cost loss and dissatisfaction to the Cloud User (CU). Moreover, the Service Level Agreement (SLA) has not been found consistent among the communicating entities in the cloud environment. The selection of best provider is a challenging task in an untrusted environment like cloud. Therefore, we developed a Cloud Broker (CB) framework which helps consumers to select the ideal Cloud Provider (CP) for processing their request in a trustworthy environment. Since feedback is a good source to evaluate the trust of the provider, the trustworthiness of the feedback should be analyzed. So the proposed framework efficiently and accurately evaluates the trust of the CP by analyzing various attacks including sybil and collusive attack. As a result, CB can select the best CP only based on true feedback which provides valid service to the requested CU. Our proposed framework improves job success rate and reduces cost loss to the user in a cloud environment.
