Abstract

In the investigation of nonlinear partial differential equations ofhyperbolic type with the help of the averaging method [I] there arises a problem connected with the solution of a countable system of ordinary differential equations [1-3]. In the present article, we consider the analogous problem on the "truncation" (in the sense of [3]) of a countable system of differential equations with impulse action, to which we arrive by applying the averaging method to the study of hyperbolic systems with impulse action.
