Abstract

Allergic contact dermatitis (ACD) is an increasing health problem with limited treatment options. We describe here our recent findings showing that Transient Receptor Potential Ankyrin 1 (TRPA1) mediates DNCB-induced contact dermatitis in experimental models. The results support TRPA1 as a drug target to prevent/treat ACD.
