Abstract

Material from tropical ulcers, inoculated into hedgehogs has been found to give rise to lesions in which spirochaetes and fusiform bacilli, similar to the types found in tropical ulcer, have been demonstrated to be present throughout the duration of the experimental lesions. Other organisms were also present. Sixteen passage experiments have been made.
