Abstract
Inventory of the saproxylic beetles in the Réserve naturelle nationale du Marais de Lavours (Coleoptera). - Forest beetles of the Réserve naturelle nationale du Marais de Lavours were inventoried by various techniques. 163 obligate saproxylic species were identified among 281 beetles taxa. Nine saproxylic species can be considered as patrimonial species thanks to their regional or national rarity or their classification as relict of ancient forest in Europe. The comparison of data obtained from standardized traps shows similarities between Qitercus-Fraxinus and young Almts stands. However, in detail, the canopy of the Quercus-Fraxinus has a rather unique fauna among the rest of the forest. The study of beetles living in canopy, as conduced in the reserve, is to be developed in temperate climate.
