Abstract

Asterella saccata, which belongs to the Aytoniacaceae family, was added to the bryophyte flora of Turkey for the first time. With this study, the number of genera represented in the family is increased to four with Mannia, Plagiochasma and Reboulia. In addition, this study highlights the importance of investigating poorly researched study areas such as Eastern Anatolia Region in terms of bryophytes so as to fully reveal the flora of Turkish bryophytes.
