Abstract

Due to the presence of oligopolistic structure in television broadcasting; television channels are caused by excessive competition. Television channels, which provide the flexibility to maintain dominance over your competitors, are using production processes. Outsourcing which provides the flexibility to production content for television channels is used at an increasing rate in the industry. The subject of the article; private television channels in Turkey on content production the application of outsourcing is to examine. The aim of this study to exhibit to use extensively outsourcing practices currently in program producing of television organizations. Television organizations provide services from production companies, news agencies, advertising agencies, casting agencies and the companies which present technical services by outsourcing. This situation generates the development of companies which accupation in this fields, capital aggregation and generation of new firms as consequently. Among channels as leader, Kanal D, ATV, Show TV channels have been examined with the nature of the programmes and the TV schedules and interviewed with their directors. That is detected that their programme schedules are internal or external production. The companies are listed and examined the production companies that are used commonly by three television channels. The relation between televison channels and production companies exhibited through the tables. Television executives not only in secondary services but also in key areas such as programming was found that the use of outsourcing.
