Abstract

Using the in-reactor tritium release experiments, the tritium transport behavior in the Li 20Sn 80 alloy was studied, including the tritium diffusion in the alloy and the mass-transfer at the interface between the alloy and the gas phase. The tritium diffusion coefficient is 1.27×10 −9 m 2/s at 873 K. The mass-transfer coefficient obeys the following temperature dependence: K D = 2.82 × 10 − 4 exp ( − 27.2 ( kJ / mol ) / R T ) ( m / s ) ( 673 – 873 K )
