Abstract

Tritium recovery behavior of Li4SiO4-Li2TiO3 (LSO-LTO) biphasic materials with various phase ratios after neutron irradiation was evaluated by tritium (T) thermal desorption spectroscopy (T-TDS). It was found that major T desorption temperature was shifted toward the lower temperature side, and the amount of desorbed T was reduced as the phase ratio of LTO was increased due to the reduction of Li density. The activation energies of major peaks were reduced by increasing the LTO ratio. However, the mechanical property was largely degraded if the LTO ratio has exceeded more than 50%. It was concluded that LSO-LTO biphasic materials with the phase ratio of 1:1 has higher T recovery performance at lower temperature and good mechanical property.
