Abstract

The authors report numerical results for the triply differential cross sections (TDCS) for electron-impact ionisation of H(2s) in the case of a coplanar asymmetric geometry. The present calculation is based on the Glauber approximation (GA). The effect of post-collision interaction is incorporated in the GA using a classical method. Results are presented for an incident electron energy of 250 eV, an ejected electron energy of 5 eV and several scattering angles. A comparison is made of the present TDCS with the results of other theoretical calculations.
