Abstract

Triple differential cross sections for the ionization of hydrogenatoms by electron impact have been calculated for an incidentelectron energy of 27.2 eV following hyperspherical partial wavetheory for asymmetric geometries. Calculated results are, generally, in good agreement with experiment and with resultsof some other well known theories. This study clearly indicatesthat the hyperspherical partial wave theory is a very effectiveapproach for low-energy ionization studies.
