Abstract

The relative triple differential cross section for doublephotoionization has been measured at 25.26 and 25.14 eVin the region of the 4p→4d resonance in Sr for two different geometries, the firstwith a one-electron spectrometer aligned along the samedirection as the principal E⃗-vector direction ofthe synchrotron radiation, and the second with it alignedperpendicular to that direction. The results aredifferent from those obtained in the corresponding caseof Ca, particularly for the second geometry where thereare indications that the resonance contains a substantialcomponent with 3Po symmetry in addition tothe 1Po symmetry expected.
