Abstract

Trinitarian Spirit Christology emphasizes in a new way the activity of the Holy Spirit both within the immanent Trinity and in salvation history. But, the auther argues, this shift in thinking about the Holy Spirit suggests a new metaphysics based on intersubjective relations and simultaneous mutual causality between the entities thus involved. Such an organismic approach to the God-world relationship, moreover, resonates with the new emphasis on systems-oriented thinking within the natural and social sciences
