Abstract

When examining the differences between various kinds of companion animals, the key defining factor of a bird is its ability to fly. Most homes, however, are unsafe for free-flying birds, and the dangers that exist out of doors are numerous. Because of this, most companion birds' wings need to be trimmed. It is essential that the trim not only be functional and appropriate for each species of bird, but that it be aesthetic, as well.
