Abstract

Objective To observe the effect of trimetazidine tablets combined with metoprolol succinate sustained-release tablets on left ventricular systolic function and serum B-type natriuretic peptide(BNP) level in patients with ischemic heart failure(IHF).Methods A total of 102 patients with IHF were randomly divided into two groups (conventional treatment group and combined treatment group). The levels of serum BNP,CRP,left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF) and 6 minutes walk test were measured before treatment and 6 months after treatment. Results Ventricular function and exercise tolerance improved obviously, and serum BNP and CRP levels reduced remarkably in combined treatment group than that in conventional treatment group ( P < 0.01 ).Conclusions Trimentazidine combined with metoprolol succinate sustained-release tablets can effectively improve ventricular function and exercise tolerance, and improve the life quality of patients with IHF. Key words: Ischemic heart failure; Trimetazidine; Metoprolol succinate sustained-release tablets; B-type natriuretic peptide
