Abstract

The only known Permian brachiopod from Victoria, Trigonotreta victoriae sp. nov., is described. The species was found in sediments indicative of a glacio-marine environment and is interpreted as indicating a late Asselian — early Tastubian age for one of the two known marine incursions into Victoria during the Permian.
