Abstract

Background and Aims: The ratio of triglyceride to high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (TG/HDL) is positively linked to insulin resistance, and it has emerged as an independent predictor of cardiovascular disease (CVD). However, the optimal TG/HDL-C ratio cutoffs for predicting CVD is not clear. This study aimed to evaluate the differences between quartiles of TG/HDL-C ratio and other cardiometabolic risk factors in the Lithuanian population diagnosed with metabolic syndrome (MS) and increased TG concentration.
