Abstract

Advancements in the manufacturing of dermal fillers, the development of improved injection techniques, and the adoption of a global approach to facial rejuvenation have all contributed to enhanced patient outcomes and higher patient satisfaction. Achieving optimal volume restoration and facial contouring to restore patients' features and create a more youthful appearance depends on the correction of deficiencies in various anatomical regions of the face. Aesthetic practitioners must use a three-dimensional approach to produce natural results for their patients. In this article, the use of hyaluronic acid (HA) dermal fillers for facial rejuvenation and volume restoration is discussed in depth. Key considerations for patient assessment and treatment planning are explored. Three case studies of mid-facial volume loss corrected with HA dermal fillers are described, with images to illustrate treatment outcomes.
