Abstract
Psoraleeae is a small tribe under Leguminosae-Papilionoideae and this tribe is represented by 3 genera viz. Bituminaria, Cullen and Psoralea in India. The genus Cullen includes three recognized wild species hitherto known under Psoralea s.l. while the species of the genera Bituminaria and Psoralea s.str. recorded from India are all introduced and cultivated/ naturalized in Tamil Nadu (Nilgiri and Pulney hills). A key, correct nomenclature, descriptions of 3 genera and 7 species (photo plates and a Type photo of three Cullen spp.) in India are given.
