Abstract

Ag/Pd nanoplates with sawtooth edges were prepared via a galvanic displacement reaction in which added Pd(OAc) 2 slowly reacted with Ag nanoplates containing adsorbed hexadecyltrimethylammonium bromide. Control over the optical properties and catalytic activity of the Ag/Pd nanoplates for electroless copper deposition could be achieved by varying the Ag/Pd alloying ratio.
