Abstract

The gaming market continues to expand, and more and more people are playing games. In recent years, however, excessive game playing has become a problem. It can harm work and sleep and cause traffic accidents. The purpose of this study is to propose a methodology for game design that allows players to voluntarily finish playing games early without reducing their enjoyment. In this paper, we focus on "personality," which influences user experience and game playing style. Experiments were conducted using games with varying parameters, and player personalities were obtained through questionnaires. Based on the results, we examine how to maintain enjoyment and reduce game playing time by varying game parameters according to the player's personality.
