Abstract
Background: The purpose of triage in Endocrinology office is to ensure that patients receive appropriate care timely. Important consultation skills are required to triage effectively and safely to offer timely clinic consult, telephone advice and even denial of the consult request. Triage is a required skill for a competent endocrinologist; however, it is not a structured component of training for Endocrinology Subspecialty Residents.
