Abstract

This article attends to two aims: the first one consists of contributing with qualitative information on the traffic of Chilean copper from particular business operations with coppers. The second aim consists of contributing new information about the nature and the Chilean flows of the exports of Chilean coppers from a particular, immersed network inside networks transregionales. Starting from letters of correspondence commercial between correspondents, is shows how is organized the networks copper to calibrate production and exploitation domestic with transportation and marketing to different scales. Also reveals the eagerness of the Crown to maximize the productivity of the copper Chilean as an alternative to avoid buy copper Swedish and Russian. Them results contribute to argue why in the two last decades of the century XVIII it intensification productive and export of copper was relative and temporary. Situations structural and cyclical that in a start promoted its enlargement in terms of production, distribution and marketing ended the century with results divergent.
