Abstract

Youth travel is an important part of global tourism and one of the fastest growing segments. Pilot research based on the questionnaire survey in the Czech Republic identified the trends in young generation traveling, found out some similarities with previous research, but also some changes in these trends in comparison with previous young generation. Key findings of this pilot research are factors influencing nowadays young generation travel decisions, its travel motivation, destinations preferences, planning and booking preferences as well as young generation travel spend, including some specifics for Czech young generation. These findings are important for tourism services providers to adapt products and services to the young generation demand.
