Abstract

As a result of the globalization processes taking place in the world, the question becomes the creation of a universal culture that would be based on global interaction. Cultures and civilizations enter into a dialogue that becomes an impetus for their acquaintance and interpenetration. Globalization also affects the development of visual arts. Muralism, as the art of public space, is a vivid indicator of the peculiarities of the changes that take place in the context of intercultural dialogue. The influence of globalization processes on the murals of the city of Kyiv is analyzed. The conditions under which intercultural communication of representatives of different cultures, which contribute to the artistic space of the capital, is determined. The problems, which arise in connection with the active appearance of foreign artist’s mural in Kiev, are revealed, and ways of overcoming them are offered.
