Abstract

The article provides a bibliometric analysis of publications related to medical tourism. Attention is paid both to the publications of domestic specialized publications and to the publications of the scientometric databases Scopus and Web of Science. The article offers an analysis of the publication activity of the authors regarding research on the problems of medical tourism by geographical distribution, by key words, in terms of sponsors of funding of such research. The conducted analysis of publication activity is displayed, including, using the visualization tool of bibliometric networks VOSviewer for the period 2002–2023. This article can be useful for scientists and researchers who intend to study trends in the development of medical tourism, to summarize and analyze the flow of materials from different regions, determining best practices and developing a strategy for the development of this industry.
