Abstract
57Co Mossbauer emission spectroscopy is briefly reviewed summarizing mainly the results of the last three to four years. Special emphasis is given to topics easily accessible to groups just starting their activity in this field. On the basis of the trends, the most interesting topics of the upcoming years are estimated.
