Abstract
As a result of commoditisation, industrial control systems (ICS) have become increasingly like the computer systems that run enterprises and are therefore exposed to the same cyber vulnerabilities. However, the solutions that have been developed for Enterprise IT systems are not always appropriate for ICS because of additional constraints such as safety. This study reviews the current threat landscape, presents the anatomy of an attack on ICS and summarises some future trends.
