Trend Models in Assessing The Development of The Digital Economy

Abstract

The development of digital economy at the present stage needs to define the approaches of statistical measurement of this process. For this purpose, the article suggests applying trend models. On the basis of official statistical data, indicators characterizing the potential for the development of the digital economy in Russia have been identified. The dynamics of these indicators made it possible to identify the trend and build trend models, based on which a predictive assessment of the digitalization of the economy and society is given. This work aims to assess the trend in the development of the digital economy in Russia based on the construction of trend models. As the result, due to the specifics of the process under study, trend models were built in a short time interval. The results showed good approximation characteristics, and made it possible to give an optimistic forecast of digitalization both at the levels of organizations and at the level of the country's population.
