Abstract

In order to solve the problems of low treatment efficiency, high operation cost, and difficulty in meeting standards of waste drilling fluids in the Linxing-Shenfu Well Area, the research on harmless treatment and reuse technology of waste drilling fluids was carried out. Based on the analysis of the characteristics and treatment difficulties of waste drilling fluids, the non-toxic and low-cost composite high-efficiency curing agent and composite aluminum salt gel breaker were developed. The produced gel-breaking press filtrate was processed and used for compound drilling fluid. Combined with the reduction equipment, a set of harmless treatment and reuse technology of waste drilling fluid was formed. The field test results show that the liquid content of cuttings is less than 30% and their weight is reduced by 20%~40% after separation by reduction treatment equipment. The waste drilling fluid with high solid content can be directly transported after 24 hours by adding 15% solidifying agent, and the leaching fluid can meet the requirements of environmental protection after 3 days. When 4.29% gel breaker is added to the waste drilling fluid with high water content, the gel breaking efficiency can be achieved. The gel-breaking press filtrate is processed and used for compound drilling fluids, which can meet the operation requirements. The technology of harmless treatment and reuse of waste drilling fluids has solved the problems of waste drilling fluid treatment in Linxing-Shenfu well Area, and has the potential of popularization and application.
