Abstract
With the development of urbanization, the number of motor vehicles has increased rapidly, and the problem of parking difficulty has become the main problem on the way to the healthy development of urban traffic. Especially in the central areas of large cities, the contradiction between supply and demand is prominent due to the dense population and the lagging construction of parking facilities. Such problems are rapidly emerging in large and medium-sized cities, which have a negative impact on the social and economic development of cities. This paper mainly analyzes and studies the physical mechanism of parking, the contradiction between supply and demand, parking management and other aspects, and puts forward solutions. Taking Ningbo as an example, this paper proposes a parking governance strategy for large cities, clarifies the goal orientation of the governance strategy, proposes supporting policies, regulations, and management systems, and proposes three governance strategies: parking supply strategy, parking demand management strategy, and parking management strategy, providing new ideas for large cities to create a new pattern of urban parking management featuring joint construction, governance, and sharing.
