Abstract

AIM OF INVESTIGATION: PSNP is peripheral neuropathic pain (PNP) following surgery. Treatments for PNP include systemic and local treatments such as Pregabalin or High Concentration Capsaicin 8% Topical System (HCCTS). In this post-hoc analysis in a subgroup of patients with PSNP of the ELEVATE study, treatment outcomes of HCCTS and Pregabalin are compared (Haanpää et al., 2016). Methods In an eight-week, open-label, randomized, multicenter, non-inferiority trial eligible patients with PSNP were randomized to HCCTS or an optimized dose of oral Pregabalin.
