Abstract

One of the most widely used methods for wastewater treatment to remove coarsely dispersed and colloidal contaminants is treatment wlthcoagulants and flocculants. The most widely used coagulants are aluminum and iron salts, to a lesser extent magnesium, zinc, and titanium salts. The materials used as flocculants are water-soluble polyelectrolytes, in particular polyacrylamlde, VA-2, polyethyleneimine, etc.
