Abstract

The retro- or infra-articular popliteal prosthetic revascularizations are not recommended. However, in the presence of an aneurysm of the popliteal artery (APA), the prosthetic replacement of a large artery permits a perfect congruence, which is not the case with a saphenous vein and avoids the dilapidation of a transposed superficial femoral artery. This retrospective multicentric study reports the results of the treatment of APA with prosthetic retro-or infra-articular replacement.
