Treatment of mild ptosis by resecting tarsal plates-aponen rosis-Miiller muscle through the skin

Abstract

Objective To investigate surgical methods and treatment effect for mild ptosis. Methods 37 cases with 40 eyes of mild ptosis were treated with tarsal plates-aponeurosis-Muller muscular resection through the skin. Results Followed-up 3 months to 3 years , 37 eyes gained satisfactory results, 2 eyes were undercorrection and 1 eye was excessive rectification. Conclusion The surgery of tarsal platesaponeurosis-Muller muscular resection through the skin is effective treatment for mild ptosis.
