Abstract
Objective To observe the clinical curatic effect of rebuilding operation of lacrimal duct through implanting Medpor coated tear drainage(MCTD) for the traumatic lacrimal duct destruction.Methods Twelve eyes of 12 cases of lacrimal duct obstructive caused by injury were operated by implantating MCTD to rebuild lacrimal passage.Patients were followed up for half an year to observe curative effect.Results In all patients the MCTD were successfully implanted.Only in 1 case the MCTD was loosed 1 month after operation,and in 1 case obstruction of nasal mucosa occurred 2 months after operation.Conclusion Implantation of MCTD can effectively treat lacrimal duct obstruction caused by injury.
