Abstract

To the Editor: Tinea pedis is a common skin disease. Traditional antifungal drugs are often deemed to be effective. However, the use of cream drugs is inconvenient and most of the relapses are a result of poor compliance.1,2 To provide a convenient and effective cure for athlete's foot, we propose a combined regimen of moisture management and antifungal microcapsules embedded into hygienic socks. The microcapsule technique provides a novel method to control the release process of drugs in a continual manner.
