Abstract

The complications of the surgical approach in infected groins with losses of substance can engage the vital and functional prognosis of the patients during the exposure of the femoral vessels. A rectus abdominis muscular flap supplied by the inferior epigastric artery can be applied to cover large defects of the femoral triangle. The aim of this study was to evaluate the feasibility and the complications of the site of covering and of the donor site for a vertical musculocutaneous rectus abdominis pedicle flap (MCRAF).
