Abstract

Patients with Chronic Venous Insufficiency (CVI) on anticoagulant therapy for cardiac problems (artificial valves or arrhythmia for example ) often are treated only with elastic stockings and the indication to avoid the standing position as much as possible because the correction of the CVI with a stripping needs the restoration of a normal clotting time which is unsafe and appears unadvisable for a small problem.
